Help in Dmitrivka
Dmitrivka, in the Kyiv region, is located very close to the village of Mila—the site of explosions and the detonation of ammunition following a Russian attack on August 28, 2026. This tragedy claimed lives, damaged residential homes, and deeply affected the local community. A community of modular homes here houses refugees from the eastern regions of the country, primarily women and children.
Humanitarian aid remains vital in this village. The women and children live in a state of constant insecurity; for them, food supplies represent not only direct material support but also a way to at least partially alleviate their daily burdens.
The head of the Dmitrivka settlement and several other local men lost their lives while attempting to extinguish the fires at the warehouses in Mila; they had arrived to help, bringing their own fire truck.
The war continues to destroy infrastructure, disrupt supply chains, and drive up prices.
In times like these, food assistance becomes even more critical.
Today, we distributed 80 food parcels, which were packed and delivered with the help of volunteers from the Ukrainian Food Bank, led by Aliona Grebenchikova.
Thank you to the donors from Lithuania and other countries, to the volunteers, and to everyone contributing to the support of the Ukrainian people.
Ukraine is currently enduring increasingly horrific terror—which is why aid is needed now more than ever.
